Guidelines and advantages of the glass shield
(Protecting the car's windshield)
Advantages
- It protects the windshield from gravel dents and surface scratches.
- It reduces the effects of hail and heavy rain and decreases the likelihood of scratches.
- It reduces the accumulation of dirt and dust and makes the cleaning process easier.
- A completely transparent layer that does not affect the clarity of vision or the shape of the glass.
- It acts as a sacrificial layer that absorbs damage in place of the original glass.
Quick installation instructions
- Clean the glass thoroughly before installation to ensure the best adhesion.
- It is preferable to have it installed by a qualified technician to avoid bubbles or incorrect installation.
- Do not wash the glass or expose it to strong water for 24–48 hours after installation.
- Avoid using strong cleaners or abrasive materials after installation.
Why is the product considered a consumer product?
- Over time, it is affected by the sun and high temperatures, which weakens the adhesive and protective layer.
- Wipes, frequent washing, and dust lead to a gradual erosion of the protective layer.
- The shield's primary function is to withstand damage instead of glass, so it wears out with daily use.
- The product reduces damage but does not prevent breakage 100%.
- Due to the thickness of the shield and the strength of the adhesive, leaving it for a long time (more than 6 months) may make it more difficult to remove, and may leave adhesive residue or cause surface marks on the glass if removed incorrectly, so it is advisable to change it periodically.
When should the glass shield be changed?
- The effectiveness of protection decreases over time, even if the shield appears to be in good condition.
- Minor scratches or unnoticeable fading may appear, reducing the effectiveness of shock absorption.
- It is recommended to change the shield every 3 months in harsh usage conditions (high heat, gravel roads, frequent washing).
- With light use, the duration can be extended up to a maximum of 6 months to maintain the highest level of protection.
